Physically speaking, Yuki has a very feminine figure, ample bosom and butt, wide hips, and a bit of a belly that shows off how much she likes sweets. Her skin is a dark blue-gray, only slightly lighter than her dark blue scales, and her face has a light dusting of dark blue freckles. Her eyes are a deep blue, with luminous blue limbal rings, which brings much needed color to the woman's face. Her hair, white as starlight, is soft and well kept, trimmed just slightly past shoulder length, and always kept in a ponytail.As far as her physical presence goes, Yuki is, for lack of a better word, small. She's not very tall, and has a soft voice, but she makes up for it with high energy and a big personality. She can almost always be found with a cheerful expression, and her eyes are bright and full of energy, though she more often than not looks to be lost. While Yuki almost always seems to be in a cheerful mood, her long, slender tail gives her away, and how she's actually feeling can be figured out by observing her tail.

Character History

The details of Yuki's birth, as well as the identity of her parents, have always been a mystery. Found as an infant beneath the corpses of others of her clan by the travelling Astrologian Asano Nakayama, Yuki was at death's door, starved and cold, having been spared freezing to death thanks only to the corpses of those that lay atop her. There was no other sign of life among the slaughtered masses of Xaela, and those that accompanied Asano felt that the child's fate was to join her kin in death, though Asano could not bring herself to commit the innocent child to such a cruel fate. As such, Asano had decided to take the child with her on her travels, if only to find a suitable home of which the infant could be left, but alas, things never go as planned, and the power of maternal instinct is not one to take lightly. Having found herself quickly attached to the infant, she decided to give her a name, half Raen, half Xaela; Yuki, for the snow white color of her hair, and Kahkol, due to the fact that, whatever clan she was part of, they were now lost.This did not exactly mean that Yuki grew up in a normal household, in fact, it was anything but. Asano may have been an Astrologian, and at one point studied in Sharlayan, but for many, many years, she belonged to an...odd organization, or as others would call it, a cult. The cult of N'gorz-Galoth, to be specific, which was an organization that gained powerful, eldritch knowledge of the cosmos from the voidsent, N'gorz-Galoth. Because of Asano's scholarly nature and medical knowledge, she trained Yuki from a young age to follow in her footsteps, and from others in the cult, she learned manipulation and subterfuge. While the medical training wasn't something that came easy to Yuki, she took eagerly to the astrologian arts, showing an almost unquenchable curiousity for the cosmos, fate, and the manipulation of time...all of which would eventually bring about her downfall. However, things continued this way for Yuki and her large 'family' until her early twenties, which is when everything for the Xaela would begin to fall apart.When Yuki reached the age of 20, she had advanced far enough in her studies for the eldritch knowledge of the cult to be passed to her, forbidden secrets that the cult held that the voidsent, N'gorz-Galoth, had imparted unto them. Unfortunately, what she learned drove Yuki to the brink of madness, and began to develop doubts of the intentions her adopted mother, as well as the 'family' she had grown to know, had for her and the star at large. So, after a few nights of planning, she fled in hopes that she might find a way to either halt, or at least severely delay their plans. Yuki then put to use the skills that she'd been taught to lay low and survive for the next few years, and she was fairly successful at that, until she was spotted by none other than Asano in camp Drybone, in the dead of night. Unfortunately for Yuki, she had not spotted the woman, and continued on her way to a nearby abandoned city to the north, which had an excellent view of the heavens, so that she could fine-tune her astrolabe to ensure her magics continued to work. As Yuki was in the process of studying the sky, Asano made her presence known and expressed her disappointment at Yuki's actions, and her grief and regret for what she now had to do. Before Yuki could react, the Asano had proceeded to curse the woman, ravaging her mind to remove any memories of the knowledge from before that moment, as well as rendering her incapable of coherent thought, before leaving Yuki to die by the elements.Fortunately for Yuki, however, her mind and spirit was more resilient and adaptable than expected, or perhaps Asano simply didn't have the heart to truly doom her daughter, and the curse didn't leave her so helpless as intended. Though it did in fact remove any memories Yuki had of her life, she was still capable of clear thought, and had retained many skills she'd developed...however, the curse would forever more continue to eradicate bits of her memories as they formed, and it would only be a matter of years before it took hold completely. None of that would matter, though, if it wasn't for the unlikely luck on Yuki's part, as she was found by the Elezen Ophelie mere hours later. Ophelie, a lonely yet caring woman, tended to Yuki's needs while the amnesiac Au Ra tried to get her life together, and even went so far as to promise to help rid Yuki of her curse...and after many moons searching for a solution, Ophelie was able to make good on her promise, and Yuki was freed from the curse that was slowly eroding her mind. Now, the two go through life together as an adventuring pair, facing whatever life may throw at them knowing that they have eachother to rely on.

In-Character Information

-Yuki is, more or less, an unknown person, as far as the general populace is concerned. However, she might be recognized by someone that she swindled at some point in the past!
-Yuki is an accomplished Astrologian, proficient in both offensive and support magic, as well as foresight and fortune telling.
-Yuki is in a relationship with Ophelie Dzemael, and she is happy and faithful, and any attempts to lead her astray will certainly fail.
-Yuki is very fond of her hat, if she lets you touch it or try it on, then that means she considers you nice enough to be a friend! Don't disrespect the hat! The inside of the hat essentially functions as extradimensional storage, similar to a bag of holding.
-Yes, the polyp is in-character, and is in fact Yuki's familiar, Mister Blobby. His appearance is somewhat of a mix between a jellyfish and an octopus, as seen in the illustration in the gallery. He is not very aetherically dense, as he is an entelechy, and can detect emotions, communicate mentally, and has very very minor dynamis manipulative abilities (mostly in the form of a bioluminescent, multicolored 'ink' cloud used when startled).

Out-of-Character Information

-Long time roleplayer, with 10+ years of experience.
-I am 21+ and willing to do most forms of RP, but I don't do random ERP encounters, especially with people I don't know.
-Player is LGBTQ+!
-Story events have led Yuki to have prophetic dreams, though she often does not understand them, and as often also happens with fortune telling, the dreams may not always come to be.
